Pack for a Purpose and Mt. Kilimanjaro climbs

Samba Treks is a proud member of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative
that allows travelers like you to make a lasting impact in the community before and after your Kilimanjaro climb. If you save just a few inches of space in your suitcase
and bring supplies for area schools or medical clinics in need, you'll make a
priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families.
We are collecting donations for Stella Maris Primary School, which is located right next to the hotel where our Kilimanjaro climbers spend the night before and after their adventure. This school was built to provide an English-medium education to the poor, orphaned, or at-risk children of the Mailisita village area. The school also provides nutrition to the children. It currently serves 300 children from the ages of 5 thru 12. Select Pack for a Purpose to see particular items that are needed for this school.

Samba Treks is very committed to porter welfare, and we gladly accept any clothes that you can bring from home for our Kilimanjaro porters. The following are items that are greatly needed:
Interested in volunteering your time for a few days, weeks, or months? We can make arrangements for you to volunteer in the Stella Maris Primary School, or Nkoaranga Orphanage. Only have one extra day before/after your Kilimanjaro Trek or safari? We can find a place for you to make a difference.
